Arsenal’s signing of Gabriel Jesus has impressed Tony Cascarino and he is hopeful the Brazilian will find success at the Emirates.
Jesús will become their main striker from this season after sealing a £45millions transfer to the club.
The Brazilian has been on Manchester City’s books since 2016, with the Premier League champions agreeing to a sale after signing Erling Haaland.
He would have failed in the Etihad pecking order if he had stayed.
At Arsenal they build the team around him and create scoring chances for him.Cascarino believes the striker would do very well and he’s better than Richarlison, who has just signed for Tottenham.
He said, as quoted by The Daily Mail: “I think Gabriel Jesús meets a lot more requirements and they have him at a better price.
“Now if you were to tell me who scores more goals, I would say that Gabriel Jesus would score more goals with Tottenham than Richarlison.
“And he’s more versatile than Richarlison. Gabriel Jesús has played at left-back, right-back and centre-forward for Manchester City.’
Arsenal opinion on Jesus only
With a few more goals we could have won enough games and finished in the top four last season.
Jesus is going to bring that extra benefit, and we’d better end this campaign than the last.
Hopefully he has a good pre-season and the team starts the season on a good note.
